On September 21, Wang Qingbiao, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shandong Jianzhu University, led a delegation to Shanghai to visit Clermont School of Business Shanghai Campus, where he held talks with Richard Soparnot, Director General of Clermont School of Business, and others. Following the visit to our University by Chen Jingzhan, Director of the Shanghai Campus, and his delegation on September 9, this was another practical exchange between the two sides within a short period, marking that cooperation between the two institutions has entered a stage of substantive advancement.

During the talks, Wang Qingbiao introduced the University’s history, the characteristics of its disciplines and programs, and its international exchanges and cooperation. He noted that the University attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with French institutions of higher education. As a century-old prestigious business school in France, Clermont School of Business enjoys a high reputation in business education and international education. He looked forward to, on the basis of the consensus previously reached, further advancing the implementation of such matters as cooperative education, joint student training, and mutual visits of faculty and students.

Richard Soparnot, Director General of Clermont School of Business, warmly welcomed the visit of Wang Qingbiao and his delegation and introduced the school’s educational features, disciplinary strengths and international cooperation layout. The two sides agreed that the two institutions are highly complementary in business and management disciplines as well as in law, and enjoy broad prospects for cooperation.

Afterwards, the two sides held in-depth discussions on specific matters such as cooperative education, curriculum alignment, mutual recognition of credits, dual-degree awarding, and faculty-student exchanges, reaching broad consensus. Both sides stated that they would establish a regular communication mechanism as soon as possible, clarify the division of responsibilities and timelines, and promote the early implementation of cooperation matters.

This return visit further enhanced mutual understanding and trust between Shandong Jianzhu University and Clermont School of Business, laid a solid foundation for broad-based, multi-level cooperation between the two institutions, and is of great significance for raising the University’s level of international education and expanding its international cooperation channels.
